Little or no cross-linked gel
Fluid formulation more oriented towards hydration and skin quality depending on the product. It does not replace a gel designed to support a structure.
Understanding skinboostersInformation and guidance in surgery and aesthetic medicine in Tunisia
Skin hydration, wrinkles, lips, dark circles or volume restoration: hyaluronic acid gels are not interchangeable. This guide explains how their formulation, location and anatomy determine the indication, duration and risks.
Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in several tissues and contributes in particular to their hydration. In aesthetic medicine, it is used in the form of gels manufactured and formulated for specific indications. Their behavior depends, among other things, on the concentration, crosslinking, cohesion and particle size.
Talk about a hyaluronic acid injection in Tunisia is therefore not enough to describe the act. A gel intended to improve skin quality, a flexible product for a mobile area and a structuring gel to support volume have neither the same objective nor the same injection plan.

Cross-linking creates bonds between hyaluronic acid chains and modifies the gel's resistance to degradation. However, it is only one of the parameters to consider.

Understanding skinboostersA gel adapted to a mobile area must accompany expressions without creating visible rigidity. The choice varies depending on depth and objective.
Lip hyaluronic acidA more cohesive formulation may be considered to support certain volumes or contours, without implying that it is suitable for every face.
Compare fillersA zone does not automatically constitute an indication. Bags under the eye, pigmentation, muscle contraction, excess skin or lack of volume require different answers.
A fold can involve loss of support, skin quality and movement. Filling it directly is not always the right strategy.
Wrinkle fillingVolume, contour, asymmetry and proportion must be distinguished to avoid standardized correction.
Lip injectionsThe periocular region requires careful indication; certain anatomy or tendency to edema may make the gel unsuitable.
Treatment of dark circlesThe restoration of volume is based on the balance of the face, with particular attention to the anatomical planes.
Temple fillingThe addition of gel can mask certain reliefs but does not reduce the nose and carries specific vascular risks.
Medical rhinoplastySkin fineness, underlying structures and the expected result determine the relevance of a filler.
Lobe filling| Concern | Approach possibly discussed | Limit to know | Useful page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lack of localized volume | Filling gel adapted to the plan and mobility. | Adding volume does not tighten excess skin. | Filler guide |
| Dehydrated or dull skin | Formulation dedicated to skin quality according to the indication. | Injectable hydration does not restructure a face. | Skinboosters |
| Mainly dynamic ride | Analysis of muscle activity and other factors. | A filler does not act like botulinum toxin. | Facial medicine |
| Sagging or excess skin | Comparison with a surgical option when necessary. | The volume does not reproduce the re-tensioning of a facelift. | Facial surgery |
There is no universal duration of six, twelve or eighteen months. Persistence depends on formulation, injection plan, area, mobility, quantity, metabolism and previous treatments. The visible effect immediately after the act sometimes includes edema; the result is therefore not judged only on the day of the injection.
A new injection must be preceded by a reassessment. Some product may persist even though the visitor thinks it has completely disappeared. Regularly adding volume without reexamining the anatomy can lead to accumulation, migration, or a gradual change in proportions.
The goal may be to smooth out a hollow, improve a contour, or restore support. No serious doctor can guarantee perfect symmetry, exact duration or precise appearance in photographs.
Report old fillers, even injected several years ago, as well as previous threads, devices, procedures, complications and dissolutions. If in doubt, the doctor can adapt his examination or request additional exploration.
Redness, pain, swelling, tenderness, bruising or irregularity may appear after the injection. Rarer events are possible: infection, inflammatory reaction, nodules, granuloma, necrosis or vascular occlusion. Exceptional but serious eye damage must be part of the prior information for the areas concerned.
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme capable of breaking down hyaluronic acid in certain medical situations. Its use depends on the problem, the frost, its location and the emergency. It does not mechanically cancel out all the consequences of an injection and is not an argument to trivialize the gesture.
Unusual or increasing pain, skin that turns white or changes color, visual disturbances, neurological signs, significant reaction or symptoms of infection require immediate contact with the practitioner and, depending on the signs, an emergency medical service.
The price of hyaluronic acid in Tunisia varies depending on the gel reference, quantity, area, anatomical difficulty, consultation and follow-up. Two “one syringe” offers are only comparable if the product, volume and services are identical.
